Reader Type
The first feature to consider is the reader types that each one uses. The reader is simply the device that scans the fingerprint for the biometric lock. Some models have different options, so you want to look into this feature first.
For example, a basic reader will allow you to scan only the index finger and you can use that print as the key for the door. The simple design allows you to program the lock to accept the fingerprint of specific employees that have permission to enter certain rooms.

In most cases, the additional biometric reader is for tracking purposes, which can help you identify the people that left a room if something goes missing. When you know who left the room after an item was removed, you will have a better chance of figuring out which person is responsible for the theft.
